Green tea

Green tea is considered the most healthy and anti-oxidant rich drink due to the presence of a high amount of natural antioxidants named catechins. It boosts immunity and helps in preventing many diseases that is from common flu to life threatening diseases like cancer.

But for the better absorption of catechins by the body, it is very important to have green tea with vitamin C. So, adding lemon to your green tea is must if you want to get its proper nutritional benefits.

Here, I have included variations of green tea made in combination with other healthy and anti-cancer ingredients such as ginger, raw turmeric, lemongrass, different spices, mint, basil, etc.

I have also included chamomile tea, which is also the best drink that I think everyone should try.

All combinations of tea mentioned here are made by my husband.

Basil chamomile tea

Basil chamomile tea

Preparation method:

This can be made as a simple tea with only chamomile flowers, but the combination of Italian basil, chamomile, and lemon works superbly. So, I have prepared it with Basil. Indians can use normal Indian basil if Italian basil is not available.

Take little bit more than 2 cup of water and add basil leaves to it.

Let it heat at low flame and bring it to boil and let it simmer for more 5 min after boiling.

Switch off the flame and add 1 teaspoon of chamomile tea( Since Chamomile is a flower and its flavor is extracted better in hot water, you can use more than 80°C for chamomile tea preparation.

Cover it with lid and let it steep for 4-5 min.

Squeeze lemon, strain it and enjoy.
