One night, my kid had the urge of having uttapam and I didn’t have a usual batter to make it. So, I took different flours available at the home such as Wheat flour, Whole oats, and Finger millet flour and prepared it adding vegetables and curd. My kid loved and enjoyed it and is a healthy option too with a good amount of protein, dietary fibers, and minerals. You can add vegetables of your choice, which your kids like. It is quick and very easy to make.

1 cup Oats flour
1/2 cup Finger millet flour
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup curd
2 green chillies
1 medium sized onion
1 medium sized tomato
1/2 cup all types of bell pepper.
1 cup water
Black pepper as per taste
Salt to taste.
Take all types of flour in a bowl and mix them well.
Take curd, beat it, add 1/2 cup of water and add it to the above mixture.
Then add chopped onions, tomatoes, chilies and all kind of bell peppers into the above mixture.
Sprinkle salt and black pepper as per your taste.
Start mixing by gradually adding water until the mixture gets a batter like consistency. Make sure no lumps are left.
Once it is done, let it rest for half an hour.
Later if required add water and put a pan to heat on low flame.
Once it is heated, spread batter in a circular pattern by moving your hand in the same direction.
Let it cook till it start detaching from the bottom. Add ghee or oil on the above surface and flip it. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes at high flame.
Enjoy hot healthy and tasty uttapam with green coconut chatni.
